GoDaddy.com will be the primary sponsor of Hendrick Motorsports’ No. 5 Chevrolets driven by Mark Martin in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. The world’s leading registrar of internet domain names will adorn the hood for 20 races annually, including the season-opening Daytona 500, beginning in 2010.

Martin had a phenomenal 2009 debut with Hendrick Motorsports, winning five races and battling for the Sprint Cup championship. After leading the first three races in the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship battle, Martin and his Hendrick Motorsports teammate Jimmie Johnson were the only two drivers mathematically eligible to win the championship at the season finale. Martin ultimately finished second in the standings, for the fifth time in his 27-year career.

Martin, 50, breathed new life into NASCAR last season, mixing his history in the sport with his still competitive and winning ways. Martin’s fan favorite status was elevated and he quickly proved himself as one of NASCAR’s most popular stars. Known for his respectful form of racing and his constant gratitude for the fans, Martin continues to influence the sport both on and off the track.

The 2010 season will see Martin and his GoDaddy.com Chevrolet team fighting for wins and the elusive championship again.
